Dominating its first week, Filipino actress Marian Rivera playing as Marimar bolstered its grip on the prime time first spot with a 34.9% showing yesterday, August 16, while Filipina TV-host Kris Aquino's Deal or No Deal of ABS-CBN registered a 25.8% rating. This is according to the overnight survey rating conducted by AGB Nielsen Philippines among Metro Manila households. Marimar's pilot airing last Monday, August 13, recorded a staggering 36.6%, its rating goes up considerably at 36.9% on its third run, August 15.
Many analyst feel that it is still early to predict whether Marimar would dominate the trend. But they agree that having a fresh face in the person of the said Filipino Actress plays a big factor in keeping the viewers interested and keep tuned every night.
